MUMS 'EASIEST' HOMEMADE BROWNIE RECIPE FOR 'FUDGY AND DELICIOUS' DESSERT

"I absolutely love brownies but I hate complicated brownie ," commented Brooke, a cookbook author and mum who shared her cooking tips and tricks online. In a video shared on her page @mealsandmunchies, Brooke explained she has come up with a recipe that is "as simple as possible" but promises extra "fudgy and delicious brownies".

The recipe uses as few steps as possible and will take less than an hour to whip up.

In her video, Brooke talked her viewers through the step-by-step recipe, which she also shared on her website.

How to make Brooke's fudgy brownies

Ingredients

  • A cup of butter
  • Half a cup of chocolate chips
  • Two tablespoons of oil
  • A cup of brown sugar
  • One and a quarter cups of white sugar
  • A tablespoon of vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt
  • A cup of flour
  • A cup of cocoa powder

Method

"Melt a cup of butter with half a cup of chocolate chips," she said.

Next, the mum pours the mixture into a mixing bowl and adds two tablespoons of oil, a cup of brown sugar and one and a quarter cups of white sugar.

"Whisk together and then you will add in three eggs a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of vanilla," she continued. "Again whisk this together then you'll slowly fold in one cup of flour and one cup of cocoa powder."

The next step is to fold in some chocolate chips, though leave some to the side for later.

"You can already tell by the batter here that these are very fudgy brownies which I definitely prefer over the cake-like brownies," said Brooke.

Once you have transferred your brownie mix into a baking tray or dish, top with even more chocolate chips - these will melt in the oven for a gooey topping.

The brownies will take between 30 and 35 minutes to bake in the oven at 350F (approximately 177C).
